Taxonomy
Wentzelella (Wentzelella) katoi was named by Flügel (1972). Its type specimen is UGP 2764 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kuh-e-Shesh Angosht 66HF105, Bed 6, which is in a Kungurian marine carbonate in the Bagh-e Vang Formation of Iran.
