Temnophyllum zamkovae was named by Wrzolek (1992). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Jazwica Quarry (Lgawa Hill), unit A, which is in a Givetian perireef or subreef wackestone/packstone in the Kowala Formation of Poland.
