Ragozinia was named by Muromtseva (1984) [Sepkoski's age data: P Sepkoski's reference number: ZR87].

It was reranked as Myofossa (Ragozinia) by Morris et al. (1991) and Pagani and Ferrari (2011).

It was assigned to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Myofossa by Morris et al. (1991) and Pagani and Ferrari (2011).
