Azabbaremys moragjonesi
Taxonomy
Azabbaremys moragjonesi was named by Gaffney et al. (2001). Its type specimen is BMNH R 16370, a skull (nearly complete skull lacking lower jaws), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Samit, north of In Fargas, which is in a Paleocene/Paleocene carbonate limestone in the Teberemt Formation of Mali. It is the type species of Azabbaremys.
