Taxonomy
Guangxilemur singsilai was named by Marivaux et al. (2002). Its type specimen is DBC 2168, a tooth (right M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Paali Nala level C2 (DBC2), which is in an Oligocene fluvial-deltaic sandstone in the Chitarwata Formation of Pakistan.
