Taxonomy

Microdyromys complicatus was named by De Bruijn (1966).

Sister species lacking formal opinion data

M. ambiguus, M. chaabi, M. miocaenicus, M. monspelliensis

Synonyms

Paraglirulus scalabicensis was named by Antunes and Mein (1977) [Centro de Estratigrafia e Paleobiologia das Universidades de Lisboa]. Its type specimen is (M1 droite), a tooth. Its type locality is Pero Filho, which is in a MN 6 fluvial mudstone/lignite in the Lower Bone Bed Formation of Portugal.

It was synonymized subjectively with Microdyromys complicatus by Daams and de Bruijn (1995).
