Taxonomy
Thamnophyllum cordense was named by McLean (2005). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Heart Lake, Great Slave Lake, N.W.T., which is in a Frasnian reef, buildup or bioherm bindstone in the Alexandra Formation of Canada.
