Taxonomy
Alaiophyllum mackenziense was named by Pedder (1963). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Norman Wells, Mackenzie River, which is in a Givetian/Frasnian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Kee Scarp Formation of Canada.
