Taxonomy
Syringopora insueta was named by Lukin (2006). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Syv''yu River, Subpolar Urals, Sibiryakovskaya Formation, which is in an Eifelian shallow subtidal marl/limestone in the Sibiryakovskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
