It was synonymized subjectively with Mesochrysopidae by Ponomarenko (2003).
It was assigned to Polystoechotoidea by Martynova (1949); to Planipennia by Carpenter (1992); to Hemerobiiformia by Engel and Grimaldi (2008); and to Hemerobioidea by Engel et al. (2018).
