Taxonomy

Liassopsychops was named by Bode (1953). Its type is Liassopsychops curvata. It is the type genus of Liassopsychopinae.

It was assigned to Psychopsinae by Bode (1953); to Planipennia by Carpenter (1992); to Prohemerobidae by Ponomarenko (1995); and to Liassopsychopinae by Ansorge and Makarkin (2021).
