Taxonomy

Sanguinolites amatopensis was named by Thomas (1928).

It was recombined as Myofossa (Ragozinia) amatopensis by Morris et al. (1991).

Synonyms

Myonia (Myonia) gorskyi was named by Astafieva-Urbajtis (1976). Its type specimen is VNIGRI 804-5, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Kos'yu River, western Urals, which is in a Kungurian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Ragozinia gorskyi by Muromtseva and Guskov (1984); it was synonymized subjectively with Myofossa (Ragozinia) amatopensis by Morris et al. (1991).
Ragozinia dembskajae was named by Muromtseva and Guskov (1984). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kozhim River, Ayach'yaginskaya Subsvita, Pechora Basin, which is in a Kungurian marine horizon in the Lekvorkuta Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was synonymized subjectively with Myofossa (Ragozinia) amatopensis by Morris et al. (1991).
