Taxonomy
Telecrex grangeri was named by Wetmore (1934). Its type specimen is AMNH 2942, a limb element (right femur lacking the distal end and part of the trochanter), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chimney Butte (Irdin Manha Formation), which is in an Irdinmanhan terrestrial horizon in the Irdin Manha Formation of Mongolia.
