Periconodon huerzeleri
Taxonomy
Periconodon huerzeleri was named by Gingerich (1977). Its type specimen is BNM Bchs 495, a mandible (right dentary that preserves the last premolar and three molars), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bouxwiller, which is in a Lutetian terrestrial marl in France.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Tattersall and Schwartz (1983).
