Tylototriton primigenius
Taxonomy
Tylototriton primigenius was named by Noble (1928). Its type specimen is Brit. Mus. 42742, a skeleton (skeleton on two slabs including parts of the skull, ribs and limbs), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Öhningen, which is in a MN 7 + 8 lacustrine limestone in the Upper Freshwater Molasse Formation of Germany.
