Qarunycteris moerisae

Taxonomy
Qarunycteris moerisae was named by Gunnell et al. (2008). Its type specimen is CGM 83671, a tooth (right [upper] M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Birket Qarun 2, which is in a Priabonian channel sandstone in the Birket Qarun Formation of Egypt. It is the type species of Qarunycteris.
