Tychtopsyche was named by Martynova (1958). Its type is Tychtopsyche beljanini.

It was assigned to Agetopanorpidae by Willmann (1989); to Tychtopsychidae by Martynova (1958), Martynova (1961), Willmann (1978), Carpenter (1992); and to Permochoristinae by Novokshonov (1997).

Synonyms

Tychtodelopterum was named by Martynova (1958).

It was synonymized subjectively with Tychtopsyche by Novokshonov (1995), Novokshonov (1997).

It was assigned to Archaemiopteridae by Martynova (1958), Martynova (1961), Guthörl (1963); and to Tychtodelopteridae by Ponomarenko (1977).
