Pareremochaetus was named by Ussatchov (1968). It is not extant. Its type is Pareremochaetus minor.
It was assigned to Eremochaetinae by Mostovski (1996), Nagatomi and Yang (1998); and to Eremochaetidae by Ussatchov (1968), Carpenter (1992), Grimaldi and Barden (2016).
