It was assigned to Empididae by Carpenter (1992); to Microphorini by Grimaldi and Cumming (1999); to Microphorinae by Hennig (1971), Perrichot and Engel (2014), Tkoč et al. (2016), Jouault et al. (2020), Shamshev and Perkovsky (2022); and to Dolichopodidae by Badano et al. (2023).
