Taxonomy
Ptychoptera deleta was named by Novák (1878). Its type specimen is NM-P947, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Mokřina (Krottensee), which is in a MN 4 lacustrine - small marl in the Cypris Formation of Czechia.
It was recombined as Ptychopterula deleta by Handlirsch (1909).
