Dionysopithecus shuangouensis
Taxonomy
Dionysopithecus shuangouensis was named by Li (1978). Its type specimen is IVPP V5597, a maxilla (left maxillary fragment with M1-M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Songlinzhuang, Sihong, Jiangsu, which is in a Burdigalian lacustrine conglomerate in the Xiacaowan Formation of China.
