Taxonomy
Saghatherium magnus was named by Andrews (1904). Its type specimen is BMNH M8398, a maxilla (partial upper dentition), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Geniohyus magnus by Matsumoto (1926), Rasmussen and Simons (1988), Rasmussen and Gutiérrez (2010).
