Antilohyrax pectidens
Taxonomy
Antilohyrax pectidens was named by Rasmussen and Simons (2000). Its type specimen is CGM 42197, a skull (crushed cranium with right and left C-M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry L-41 (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian lacustrine mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.
