Taxonomy

Anchomomyini was named by Szalay and Delson (1979). It is not extant.

It was assigned to Cercamoniinae by Simons (1997), Marigó et al. (2011).

Synonyms

Shizarodon was named by Gheerbrant et al. (1993). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type is Shizarodon dhofarensis.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Simons (1997).
Shizarodon dhofarensis was named by Gheerbrant et al. (1993). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is TQ 102, a tooth (right M1 or 2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Taqah, which is in an Oligocene coastal marl in the Ashawq Formation of Oman. It is the type species of Shizarodon.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Simons (1997).
