Anchomomyini was named by Szalay and Delson (1979). It is not extant.

It was assigned to Cercamoniinae by Simons (1997), Marigó et al. (2011).

Synonyms
  • Shizarodon was named by Gheerbrant et al. (1993). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type is Shizarodon dhofarensis.

    It was considered a nomen dubium by Simons (1997).
  • Shizarodon dhofarensis was named by Gheerbrant et al. (1993). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is TQ 102, a tooth (right M1 or 2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Taqah, which is in an Oligocene coastal marl in the Ashawq Formation of Oman. It is the type species of Shizarodon.

    It was considered a nomen dubium by Simons (1997).
