Silenites lenticularis

Taxonomy
Carbonia lenticularis was named by Knight (1928). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 6. 200 ft. north of Clayton Rd., 1st street west of Kirkwood-Ferguson Trolly tracks, "Davis Place" subdivision, Clayton, which is in a Desmoinesian carbonate limestone in the Pawnee Formation of Missouri.

It was recombined as Silenites lenticularis by Kellett (1935), Shi and Chen (1987).
