Anchomomys stehlini
Taxonomy
Anchomomys stehlini was named by Gingerich (1977). Its type specimen is BNM En 1, a mandible (right partial dentary with M1-2 and numerous alveoli), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Egerkingen, gamma fissure, which is in a Bartonian fissure fill horizon in Switzerland.
It was recombined as Laurasia stehlinae by Schwartz and Tattersall (1983).
