Taxonomy
Europolemur collinsonae was named by Hooker (1986). Its type specimen is BMNH M37169, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Creechbarrow Hill, which is in a Bartonian marine marl/marl in the Creechbarrow Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Adapis collinsonae by Godinot (1998).
