Panopeus baldwini
Taxonomy
Lophopanopeus baldwini was named by Kooser and Orr (1973). Its type specimen is UOMNH 28227, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UOMNH locality 2594, Snout Creek, which is in a Ypresian submarine fan siltstone in the Lookingglass Formation of Oregon.
It was recombined as Panopeus baldwini by Schweitzer et al. (2010), Gustafson (2023).
