Taxonomy
Stummelasma sulfurense was named by Pedder (2004). Its type specimen is USNM 520357 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Coils Creek Member 1998-25, which is in an Emsian marine limestone in the McColley Canyon Formation of Nevada.
