Apateodus busseni
Taxonomy
Apateodus busseni was named by Fielitz and Shimada (2009). Its type specimen is CMC VP 6941, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Logan County [Smoky Hill Chalk Mbr, Niobrara Fm], which is in a Coniacian/Santonian marine lime mudstone in the Niobrara Formation of Kansas.
