Taxonomy
Praeconocaryomma matsuokai was named by Kiessling (1999). Its type locality is Longing Gap Radiolarians, K 8-1, which is in a Kimmeridgian basinal (siliciclastic) mudstone in the Ameghino Formation of Antarctica.
