Taxonomy
Praehexasaturnalis poultoni was named by Carter et al. (1998). Its type locality is S3-3-89-CNA-KUD-5 and -6, Kunga Island, which is in a Hettangian basinal (siliciclastic) limestone/siltstone in the Sandilands Formation of Canada.
