Taxonomy
Praeorbiculiformella lomgonensis was named by Carter et al. (1998). Its type locality is S11-1-86-CAA-T-2/3 Yakoun River, Graham Island, which is in a Sinemurian basinal (siliciclastic) limestone/siltstone in the Sandilands Formation of Canada.
