Taxonomy
Cystomichelinia biknia was named by Flügel (1964). Its type specimen is (62) IA-383 1 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Emami, (62) IA-383, Elburz Mountains, which is in a Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Ruteh Formation of Iran.
