Taxonomy
Liuzhaiphyllum intermedium was named by Wu (1987). Its type specimen is NIGP 100342 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Liuzhai, Nandan County, which is in an Asselian carbonate limestone in the Maping Formation of China. It is the type species of Liuzhaiphyllum.
