Taxonomy
Neogrootia prismatica was named by Ding (1995). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Liuzhai GL2-4A, Nandan County, which is in an Asselian carbonate limestone in the Maping Formation of China. It is the type species of Neogrootia.
