Taxonomy
Ipciphyllum pingyanense was named by Wang (1978). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pingyan, Maokou Fm, Luodian, which is in a Roadian/Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Maokou Formation of China.
