Taxonomy
Pararachnastraea moormanensis was named by Stevens (2010). Its type specimen is USNM 531332 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SJS-1175, Moorman Ridge, which is in a Kungurian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Pequop Formation of Nevada.
