Taxonomy
Szechuanophyllum transcaucasicum was named by Kropatcheva (1989). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 17/12539 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Baisal, Bed 15, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone/limestone in the Arpa Formation of Azerbaijan.
