Taxonomy
Litheuphaea carpenteri was named by Fraser (1955). Its type specimen is MCZ 4895ab, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Russell Creek, Goshen, which is in a Rupelian terrestrial mudstone in the Fisher Formation of Oregon.
