Orthaspidotherium edwardsi
Taxonomy
Orthaspidotherium edwardsi was named by Lemoine (1885). Its type specimen is MNHN CRL 567, a mandible (right fragmentary hemimandible with p4-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mont Berru, which is in a Thanetian fluvial conglomerate in the Sables de Bracheux Formation of France. It is the type species of Orthaspidotherium.
