Indotestudo kaiseni
Taxonomy
Testudo kaiseni was named by Gilmore (1931). Its type specimen is AMNH 6352, a dermal scale, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ergilin Dzo [AMNH], which is in an Eocene terrestrial sandstone in the Ergilin Dzo Formation of Mongolia.
It was recombined as Cheirogaster kaiseni by Karl (2018); it was recombined as Indotestudo kaiseni by Crumly (1983), Vlachos and Rabi (2018).
