Taxonomy
Plerophyllum schindewolfi was named by Flügel (1966). Its type specimen is 108/8 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Barbung, Locality 108, Dolpo, which is in a Changhsingian shallow subtidal limestone in the Senja Formation of Nepal.
