Taxonomy
Amplexus breviseptatus was named by Wu and Zhao (1982). Its type specimen is NIGP 62069 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kongshan, Qixia Formation, Nanjing City, which is in a Kungurian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Qixia Formation of China.
