Taxonomy
Lophophyllidium columellum was named by Yan and Chen (1982). Its type specimen is Nanjing Inst Geol Min Res HI-521 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yashan, Nanling County, which is in a Kungurian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Qixia Formation of China.
