Taxonomy
Waagenophyllum wuxiense was named by Yan and Chen (1982). Its type specimen is Nanjing Inst Geol Min Res HI-622 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Songshan, Wuxi, which is in a Changhsingian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Changxing Formation of China.
