Ectenonotus whittingtoni
Taxonomy
Ectenonotus whittingtoni was named by Ross and Barnes (1967) [Paratypes: cranidia USNM 145830-145833, 145836; cephalon, USNM 145834; hypostome, USNM 145835; pygidia, USNM 145837-145839; librigena, USNM 145840. Includes Ectenonotus cf. westoni from Whittington 1961 (MCZ 5673).]. Its type specimen is USNM 145829, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is D 727 CO, which is in a Rangerian shallow subtidal limestone in the Antelope Valley Formation of Nevada.
