Condylocuna was named by Iredale (1936) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-m-u R Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Condylocardiidae by Lamprell and Healy (1998); to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Condylocardiinae by Vokes (1980), Middelfart (2002).
