Taxonomy
Huncoaeshna corrugata was named by Petrulevičius et al. (2010) [Museo Paleontologico Egidio Feruglio, Trelew, Chubut]. Its type specimen is MPEF-PI 1002, a hindwing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Laguna del Hunco (MPEF collection), which is in a Ypresian crater lake tuff in Argentina. It is the type species of Huncoaeshna.
