Taxonomy
Metabuprestium ustkivdense was named by Alexeev (2008). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is PIN 4988/17, an elytra (isolated left elytron), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Ust’-Kivda locality, which is in a Danian lacustrine horizon in the Darmakan Formation of the Russian Federation.
